ESTABLISHED IN 1999
The company arose when its present owner, Mr. Altaaf Jamal, took over the recognized “POPS” brand of carbonated drinks which had been sold throughout Fiji for almost twenty five years. When Altaaf took over his family owned business, the company was struggling to survive in the economic climate of the time, military coups and downturn in the economy had all taken an eventual toll on the brand. Altaaf saw new opportunities to expand the established brand, and recognized new market trends such as the growing desire for health drinks and bottled water. He invested in the company combined with other products including “Fijian Noni”, he tapped into a whole new market and the company surged forward into the new millennium.
By 2002, Altaaf planned to start bottling “Artesian Water” and was sourcing water of high quality which he found deep in the hills of Nadi. Frezco’s products grew in popularity and became more recognized, and in a short period of time Altaaf had built a niche market for the company with its long term future now assured.
In 2004, Frezco Beverages was distributing and marketing its products in over seven countries, and through his vision and acumen, Altaaf had turned a small family owned company into a global company. Frezco continues to produce the original “POPS” brand of carbonated drinks, the “Bula & Fijian” Noni brand which has exceeded sales expectations, and in addition Frezco is now the driving force behind the successful “AQUA PACIFIC” range of natural Artesian mineral water, which are sold both as in small bottles and Sustainable Refillable 15L bottles with dispensers which have proved incredibly popular in homes and offices who insist on giving their employees one of the most natural and healthiest mineral waters available today.
